Planned giving is when a donor or potential donor formally decides to give a charitable gift of value to a chosen party, cause or organization at a future date.
Many instances this is a gift that is planned through a formal financial estate plan or a will so that the organization will get the donation at the time of the donor’s passing. It usually comes in the form of money, assets or property and may or may not be included in the person’s Will.
Types of Planned Gifts:
- Gift in Will
- Life Insurance
- Retirement Funds
- Endowment Funds
Depending on the type of asset, leaving a gift in your Will to Bethany Lodge Foundation can significantly reduce estate taxes. Your gift can be for any specific amount, percentage or residue of your estate. You can make adjustments to your planned gift at any time. There are no extra out-of-pocket costs. Your current income won’t be affected.
We sincerely appreciate your consideration of including Bethany Lodge Foundation in your estate plans. Leaving a gift in your Will promises to impact future residents of Bethany Lodge positively. Many of the improvements and building projects at Bethany Lodge were made possible through gifts from Estates.
We know that this is a personal and significant decision to make. If you are considering this, our team is here to help. We are truly grateful for this type of gift. If you have done so already, we thank you and will ensure your gift is used exactly as you wish.
Every gift makes a difference and we appreciate your consideration.
